Divorce Finalized
For all of us who loved Jessica and Nick the day has come that their divorce is finalized. June 30 2006, the papers were finalized. Jessica's name was restored from Jessica Simpson Lachey back to Jessica Simpson. Financial matters have not been resolved however.

For Jessicas new single "Public Affair", album due out August 29th, Jessica was recently filming the music video, premiering on July 19, with tons of her friends. It is said that many of her friends star in the video including, Eva Mendes, Eva Longoria, Carmen Electra.. the list goes on!

Jessica is starting a new wig line with the help of her favorite hair stylist and friend Ken Paves. She recently posed on the cover of Maxim magazine wearing a stunning red wig from her line.

Recently on a radio show Nick Lachey spoke of his soon to be ex wife as "someone that I still love... We were two people very much in love". Nick also stated that he wished that they had never done the hit MTV show The Newlyweds which Lachey says "made it difficult to separate reality from entertainment". One of Jessicas friends stated that "Jessica wishes Nick would have said these things to her earlier, and this divorce breaks her heart because she still loves Nick... She knows that they will always love each other." Recently after the radio show aired Jessica, while in Australia, was spotted on the beach in tears. Could these statements on the radio make Jessica realize something? Did they bring back feelings that she thought had died. As we all wait and hope for reconsiliation, only time will tell.
Upcoming Projects
Right now Jessica is currently filming another movie called "Employee of the Month" . Jessica is reportedly being paid $1 million for the film in which she only speaks 806 words! Also in a recent "In Touch" magazine, it was reported that Jessica is also getting close with the producer of "Employee of the Month" , Andrew Panay.
Jealousy?
Lately Jessica has not been on good terms with her soon to be ex-husband Nick Lachey, but things really took a turn when Jessica got word of Nicks newest fling, 19 year old Laguna Beach star, Kristin Cavallari. Jessica thinks Kristin is way to young for Nick and she feels really hurt. Jessica has also reportedly changed her phone number so that Nick cannot call her anymore.

"Us Weekly" claims that Jessica and MAROON 5 's ADAM LEVINE were being so loud at the Chateau Marmont hotel on February 7th that security had to come up to their room and tell them to keep it down.
Also, the "Star" tabloid says that in the early morning hours of February 4th, three days prior, Jessica had a similarly loud encounter with JUDE LAW. A so-called "earwitness" who claims to have been in the next room says, quote, "[They] were very loud. There was banging on the wall and loud noises behind my bed. It lasted half an hour and it was impossible for me to get any sleep."
DIVORCE !
Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson are officially divorced. She cited "irreconcilable differences" for their split and requested that her last name be officially changed back to Simpson. She also asked that the court not award spousal support. They said in a statement released the day before Thanksgiving, "After three years of marriage, and careful thought and consideration, we have decided to part ways. This is the mutual decision of two people with an enormous amount of respect and admiration for each other. We hope that you respect our privacy during this difficult time."

NW magazine reports that Jessica Simpson's rapidly thinning body is concerning hubby Nick Lachey. "The more she lost, the more irritated Nick became," an insider revealed. "He kept telling her she was getting too thin, but she just turned a deaf ear. Nick thought Jessica looked great when they first met. She was curvy in all the right places and her sexy figure drove Nick wild. Nick now says her bony, boyish frame is a turn off."
Baby?
Okay, I was just reading Life & Style magazine, and it was talking about Nick and Jessica's baby plans. I'm pretty sure that Jessica isn't going to have a baby any time soon. First of all, Jessica has worked so hard to get her body in shape the past months. If a person works SO hard to get in shape, they're not going to lose it all to have a baby for a little while. I just thought the whole story just seemed really out there. I mean, I would love for Jessica to have a kid. I think she'll be a great mother.
Lindsay Lohan Bans Simpson Sisters From Party?
Perhaps fearing a confrontation over her alleged Sidekick messages to Paris Hilton, The New York Daily News reports Lindsay Lohan barred Jessica Simpson and her sister Ashlee Simpson from her MTV Movie Awards after-party at the Standard Hotel in Los Angeles. "Jessica and Ashley pulled up to the valet to go to the party, and they told them they were not allowed in, by Lindsay's request," another guest revealed. "All of the staff was told not to let them in. Basically high school drama. Jessica tried to act like it wasn't a big deal, and left, but you could tell she was crushed. The valet boys were laughing." Though Lohan's PR rep insisted the incident was just a "misunderstanding at the door", a source close to the 'Herbie' star insisted: "Lindsay did not want them in there."

SIMPSON AND LACHEY CONSIDERED RENEWING WEDDING VOWS
Pop beauty JESSICA SIMPSON considered renewing her vows to husband NICK LACHEY in a private ceremony - because their October 2002 wedding was spoilt by the intrusive cameras filming them for MTV reality show NEWLYWEDS: NICK AND JESSICA.
The IRRESISTIBLE star would love to become a bride for a second time, because she could have another bachelorette (hen) party and enjoy a ceremony without the public scrutinising her big day.
She says, "Nick and I did think of renewing our vows in a private ceremony.
"It's be great to be a bachelorette again. I had a really wild bachelorette party."

HOW NICK AND JESSICA MET
They first met at the Hollywood Christmas Parade in 1998. Nick was a member of the pop group 98 Degrees. He said what really made him fall for Simpson was seeing her perform. "I watched her sing and saw the way people responded," he said.
Within weeks of meeting her, he was telling fellow band members, "I'm going to marry that girl." In February 2002 Lachey chartered a yacht in Hawaii and proposed to Simpson as the sun set on the Pacific.
They married on Oct. 26, 2002, in Austin, Texas. Their home is in Calabasas, Calif. – and was part of MTV's reality series Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica.
